Mary’s Journey Home

It was never the intent of Mary to remain in the USA as a patient.  Mary had been receiving care at a healthcare facility in Indiana.  For the past three years the facility had been supporting her residency and fulfilling her medical needs.  Worldwide Transitions began working with the healthcare facility, Mary and her family, and her medical providers to return her to her homeland in Africa (photo, Oct. 2013).  This transition will allow Mary to be home with her family in Africa and have a better life than before (photo, Dec. 2013). The healthcare system transitioned Mary safely and provided her dual medical equipment to support her ambulatory needs and to provide her with the basic needs for daily living.
